rock, paper, scissors

A royal salute, Hellz style. Hellz Bellz Summer 2009 collection promises vamped up summer staples from graphic tees to edgy studded vest. Check out the complete 'So Lolita' lookbook, shot by Brooke Nipar here.  The collection is now in stores around the world.

glitterati

Was thinking of wearing a black boxy sequin jacket that I recently purchased to Steve Aoki's party last night but figured it would be too hot and opted for a lace tank with acid shorts instead. Spot-on choice, will go sparkly some other time. "Shake and Pop' is still in my head, listen to it here and start dancing.

celebstyle: rihanna

WHO: Rihanna, the "Good Girl Gone Bad" and Chris Brown's former squeeze
WHERE: Leaving Kanye West's apartment in NYC
WHAT: A fabulous two-tone Alexander Wang corset dress from the pre-Fall '09 and Jil Sander pumps from Summer '09 collection

Recently refused by Anna Wintour to have her on the cover of Vogue after nude pictures were leaked online, Rihanna has been making her rounds in the fashion circuit and is looking mighty stunning in Alexander Wang as she left Kanye's. Watch Rihanna heats it up in his 'Paranoid' video here

the gold standard

If bling bling is too girly for some, you can never go wrong with solid gold. This iPhone shell, dubbed the Golden Delicious, is said to be the most expensive iPhone case ever at $108,000. Designed by Munich-based GnG, this 1mm-thick carbon-fibre luxe case is covered with 140g of 18-carat gold.

c'est la vie

Terry Richardson takes us on a trip around Paris for French Vogue's A Toutes Jambes (As Fast as One's Legs Can Carry) editorial. Polish supermodel Anja Rubik is looking every bit the fun and stylish Parisian (with the help of Emmanuelle Alt) sipping lattes in couture and breakdancing in roller skates by the Eiffel Tower.

flash your pearls

Just one look and I'm sold. It's love and lust all at once. Not just the badass punk rock flash collection as pictured in the editorial, but these lovely pearl and rhinestone ones, thanks to Belfast-born jeweler Tom Binns. Even Michelle Obama is a fan.  Gotta have it!

girls in glasses

Love this chic "Girls in Glasses" T-shirt by Danny Roberts of Igor + Andre. Danny who? He's the man behind the expansive portraits of "It" models and bloggers. London-based Borders & Frontiers have teamed up with the Californian fashion illustrator for a stylish collab that is this very T-shirt, featuring Sasha Pivovarova, Gemma Ward, and Jessica Stam in the uber-cool Chanel half-tint sunglasses. Retails here for £25.

knock you down

Mr West is looking fresh as he work on his second collection of sneakers for Louis Vuitton with Fabrizio Vitti. We loved the Don's, Jasper's and Mr Hudson from the first collection, wonder what's next? Expect its release later this year.

sing it back

Here is one artist that I've admired for years and not just for her music, but her unique sense of style - Roisin Murphy. The former Moloko frontwoman recently performed at the 17th Life Ball in Vienna to raise money for people living with HIV and AIDS, where she traded Gareth Pugh for St Martin's grad Oden Wilson's blue frock. These gorgeous shots by Simon Harris appears in the current edition of the Spanish magazine Vanidad. Been listening to the album Overpowered a whole lot lately, it's a sumptuous mix of electro-disco gems. Haven't heard her music yet? The time is now.

julia roitfeld at home in ny

Todd Selby a.k.a The Selby has invaded homes of many creative types including Alexander Wang and Erin Wasson. This time he goes macro in Julia Restoin-Roitfeld's house in NoHo, New York for a sweet peek. Killer footwear, exquisite jewels and delectable bags are aplenty at this 28-year old art director's vogue home.

starlight

Wishing upon a star? Don't take too long. A beautiful design by Christopher David Ryan, a graphic artist based in Maine that takes inspiration from music, the universe, the human condition and natural phenomena into messages of hope, love and happiness.

night at the museum

Saw a massive Jeff Koons 'Balloon Dog' sculpture prancing in the air in Ben Stiller's latest movie which I found highly amusing. Would love to have one!

margiela in munich

Martin Margiela, the man who prefers to remain incognito (he does not appear in public at fashion shows or publish his portrait), also loves to take over new spaces and paint them white as a symbol of "strength of fragility and the fragility of the passage of time". His latest store in Munich definitely gives the impression of this. Reminds me a little of my previous store with the clean white walls and concrete floors, stand-alone steel racks and black and white photos (of which chairs were covered, instead of the wall). Margiela's new store is located on Maximilianstrasse 34 featuring menswear and womenswear. MM, truly inspirational.

vivid pink

Lusting over these sexy cutout shoe boots from Givenchy. 4.5 inches of pink perfection that has been on my mind for a while. Previously $785, now $471.

cannes couture

A stream of A-listers wowed the crowds on the red carpet in big-name labels at the recent 62nd Cannes Film Festival. Looks to love: Devon Aoki is a striking beauty in a neon Roberto Cavalli dress, Eva Longoria rules the red carpet in a luxurious Versace Atelier dress, Georgina Chapman goes ultra-sleek goddess in a one-shoulder champagne Marchesa number, and Elizabeth Banks in a majestic Andrew GN sequinned dress. Stunning ladies!

there's something about cam

Hollywood's green queen Cameron Diaz graces the glossy pages of Vogue June 2009. Shot in sunny Palm Springs by Mario Testino, Cam is looking superfine in shades of white (they're eco-pieces too!) for a feature editorial entitled 'Sunshine Superwoman'. Just the way I would love to spend my Sunday afternoons.

love bug

Mulberry is bitten by the love bug. The British fashion brand recently announced its sponsorship of a new coffee table book entitled 'Romance' and is scheduled to host a series of events around the world to promote it. Photographed by London-born photographer Chris Craymer, the book captures real moments between real couples. Just like this one.

sheer genius

Beautiful shot, but my eyes were transfixed to those shoulder-pads-shoved-in-her-tee. Yes ladies, do it yourself. Just don't start padding every piece of clothing in sight.

red hot chilli pepper

Tell me how to rock a red lip like Ms Moss, and not end up looking like a circus clown. Kate Moss' Summer collection for Topshop is now for sale online. The studded waistcoat and Moroccan blouse has got my name written all over it. So is the silk black-and-white maxi. I don't mind that massive layers of necklace on Kate either.

opposites attract

Part Jonathan Adler, part Phillippe Starck, and part inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, the magnificent 60-room manse of Max and Lubov Azria in L.A. is indeed magical. Complete with its own Turkish hammam, tennis court, and three gardens - one Japanese, one English, one French - the laser-cut floral garland ceiling and that cascading chandelier above a petrified wood table are the residence's main highlights. Beautiful!

Featured in June's Harpers Bazaar, read the exclusive interview with Max & Luboz here

michael zavros for balenciaga

To celebrate the launch of Balenciaga in Australia, Michael Zavros collaborated exclusively with Jean Brown for a one-off-a-kind art exhibition of the iconic handbag. Inspired by graffiti techniques and street culture, Zavros's imagery is one to be praised. His previous work such as Alexander McQueen/Bay, Gucci/Black or the Windkiedach Wiggle'/a were absolutely brilliant.

streetstyle: just a little warmer, please

Milan: Warm, fuzzy feelings all over as the uber-cool black and red ensemble appears in a form of a fluffy sweater paired with chic shades and knockout Jimmy Choos.  While a beautiful fusion of aubergine, pink and beige plays the classic tweed with plush fur for a polished style. Two totally contrasting looks that will guarantee to keep you warm, at least on the inside.

powerpuff girl

H&M A/W 2009 is the ish. The men's collection is a handsome surprise of stern edginess and refined chic while the ladies department gets tougher than ever with tonnes of lace, leather and zippers. This one right here is amaaaaaazing! View the entire lookbook for more stunning pieces.

their own take on the cake

Just scrambled like crazy to get my hands on some awesome tanks by 5 Preview. This fast-growing Rome-based label gives its own unique spin on the iconic symbols for their line of clothing and accessories that are selling out like hotcakes! Available for men and women, check out the blog for more of 5 Preview obsessions, previews and updates. Word is they're about to launch their latest collection.

Just my two cents, if renowned fashion labels like Chanel and YSL spurred labels like 5 Preview and the rest to innovate upon their novel ideas (not blatantly copy from A-Z and claim it's authentic), it's fashion and not fakes. Ideas come from inspirations, no? There's a saying that goes, "Imitation is the greatest form of flattery". That right there is proof you're doing something right.

military balmania

Look at those details and sharp shoulders... Fierce!

the purseuing

Givenchy pony-effect chain handle clutch, Derek Lam suede "Davina" bag, Lanvin "Partage" in metallic stitched python. Lustworthy bags in delicate materials, perfect accessories for the bag crazy.

" A woman once told me that every time she wore Lanvin, men fell in love with her. I told her, 'Ugh, I hope next time you will tell me that every time you wear Lanvin, you fall in love. And she said, 'What is the difference?' Passive and active. "

the illuminati

Illuminati? Somewhat cliche to post this just after watching the movie last night (awesome movie, by the way) but not to worry, this one is not the terrifying kind. Danish label Noir have been around for merely five seasons and are famous for their uber-sexy monochromatics but the focus is on Illuminati II, the second part of the brand which advocates the use of organic and fair-trade cotton for Noir and other luxury brands. Shalow Harlow and Noir Illuminati II proves CSR has definitely gone sexy.

wundermom

Vogue Germany pays tribute to one of the country's greatest export with an all-Heidi issue, entitled 'Heidi by Vogue'. The June 2009 publication promises stunning editorials of wundermom Heidi Klum by Paola Kudacki and Francesco Carrozzini among others. Imagine being pregnant and rockin' that sequinned Balmain dress! No one does it better than Ms Klum herself. Salute!
