merci indeed

Started by the Cohen couple behind luxury children's clothing brand Bonpoint, Merci is a new design concept store located in the Marais district in Paris which opened early March this year. The luxury charity store offers carefully curated collection of fashion and interiors amongst other things with all profits going towards a women and children's charity in Madagascar, hence the name. Fill up own bottles with perfume from Annick Goutal, have a coffee in the used-book cafĂ©, or select among a quirky mix of high fashion (YSL, Stella McCartney and Isabel Marant) for some guilt-free shopping! A must 'do' when you're in Paris!

toga sparklers

If Helen of Troy were to hit the party circuit back in the day, I bet she'd rock these fabulous sequined gladiator sandals by All Black. These days however, you could pair them with everything from boyfriend jeans to ripped denim shorts. Love! Available at Oak for $168.

Little did we know that the lace jumpsuit Stella McCartney wore to the recent Met Gala (which she made just hours before the event) would be a part of her Resort 2010 collection, or Spring as she likes to call it. Divided into four themes: Tuxedo, Out of the Blue, Tropic of Flowers, and White Hot Desert Day, 41 out of the 56 ready-to-wear pieces are partially or 100% organic. Handsome Saville Row-sharp tuxedos and guipure lace pieces, nautically inspired stripes and checks, or the sequined floral jackets, the collection is just stunning and simply stellar.

How cool are these Love/Hate shades from A-morir by Kerin Rose? Reminds me of those vintage Chanel sunglasses Amber Rose wore during Paris Fashion Week. Available at A-morir & Patricia Fields for $250.

musica feliz

Ah, this is love. Diesel's new Home Collection truly appeals to the music afficianados. Headed by the Diesel Creative Team's Wilbert Das, the collection is enriched by the addition of leaders in the world of interiors - Foscarini for lighting and Moroso for furniture. Check out the innovative materials and styles - steel record boxes as a neat storage desk and a beautiful coffee table made up of an x-ray image of a DJ set - the collection will be distributed through the best furniture and lighting showrooms as well as in Diesel stores and in selected department stores.

melts in your mouth

Taking the cue from Massimo Gammacurta's couture candies off Paris Fashion Week, Rick Owens served a bowl of grey and white M&Ms which features the radical designer's logo during the opening of his flagship store in London. Sweet!

pro nails

Edgy, minimal and on point with the strong shoulders trend that is all the rage, this Blak dress is so hot no wonder it's sold out. I'm feelin' the massive triangle sequinned patch by LaLa Berlin pinned to the gloves too. I could see Beyonce wearing it, and do that finger moves like how she did on 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)' video.

drop it like it's hot

Rag & Bone Resort 2010 collection strikes all the right notes, I could see myself wearing all of it! David Neville and Marcus Wainwright stuck to their impressive tailoring and impeccable layering with a touch of menswear thrown in the mix. Just what you need to attain that laidback rock star look.

stack it up

Stacked up bangles, leopard print booties, and divine rings to complete a sexy LBD, Erin Wasson is drop dead gorgeous at the unveiling of her collaborative line with RVCA's Fall 2009 collection. Not only does this Texan supermodel have a rare beauty and eclectic style, her clothing line has some pretty hot digs that are just irresistible. Can't Erin and I just swap lives for a day?

novel muse

Model, fashionista and the new it-girl Dree Hemingway is sultry cool in British Vogue July 2009 issue. Shot by Lachlan Bailey, this fast-rising star is a trained ballerina turned model and actress who is truly international (born in America, went to drama school in London and lived in Paris). Watch her gracefully leaps along an 'endless' New York street for Halston's video that features the Fall 09 collection. An absolutely amazing video that is so fresh, so classic, and so beautiful.

just peachy

Lusting over these beauties that are simply perfect. Gucci deco ring, Balenciaga satin tiered tote and Zac Posen embellished skirt. A peachy class, like the sun on a summer's day.

a literal statement

Marc Jacobs's love of contemporary arts propelled the brand's association with fashion and arts to new heights when he joined the House in 1997. Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion and Architecture is a 400-page book that features stunning imagery of the brand's history and association with numerous personalities from the world of art, architecture, design, photography and fashion. Takashi Murakami, Jun Aoki, Anne Leibovitz, Inez & Vinoodh. These are just a few. Expect to be visually charmed.

the last goodbye

The irony. My grandfather passed away just hours after my last post 'when angels meet'. I said my last goodbye yesterday but it still aches knowing he is gone forever.

when angels meet

Calvin Klein and Visionaire celebrates the release of Visionaire 56: Solar issue at the Standard Hotel on June 1 with an all-white dress code. The Solar issue features black-and-white photographs that changes into bright, gorgeous colors in sunlight. Think Hypercolor t-shirts but much cooler. From top to bottom: Will Lemon and the darling Chloe Sevigny, in Calvin Klein; Hanne Gaby Odiele looking absolutely stylish in the cutout Alexander Wang with Ali Stephens. Heloise Guerin takes it up a notch with a sexy bandage-like dress while Christina Tosio and Barbara Garcia amps their outfits with scarlet lips.

the purifier

Beautiful hotel with bursting purple accents. La Purificadora Hotel, located in the oldest part of the historic center of Puebla, Mexico, was converted from colonial structure from the 1800s, when the hotel used to be an ice factory. Love the aquarium-like swimming pool and the glass clothing space is not too shabby either!

the fringe factor

Reminiscent of Alexander Wang's, but of course, nothing beats the real thing. Detachable fringe straps to sex up your booties. How clever. Only $39.

heart attack

Belle Lucie bootie and Heart Attack Club bag, both from Roger Vivier's Fall 2009 collection.  Am loving these, they're super gorgeous and utterly French, with a pinch of fun. Thank you, Frisoni!

the girl with kaleidoscope eyes

Matthew Williamson Spring '09 accessories are bold and beautiful in neon and colorful rhinestones, exotic skins, beads and tassles for cheery optimism. Loves it!

daydreams, nightdreams

Am constantly dreaming of gazillion things when I should be concentrating on work or getting some sleep. Don't you just wish there were 45 hours in a day to do all these things that you wanted to do but never had the time to? Duffy's "Distant Dreamer" is the perfect soundtrack, listen to it here

daria werbowy at home

She tops the list. With the rockish-boho style that she exudes naturally, her home is just as much like her. French Glamour September 2008. Photographed by Derek Kettela.

can't get enough

Of studs, it's a crazy obsession. I wanna rock them still when I'm 60.

the girl behind the mask

Gracing the cover of June's Jalouse magazine is none other than fashion icon Alexa Chung. Photographed by Thomas Giddings, Chung is looking casually sexy, distinctively quirky and every bit stunning. Look out for her new MTV show The Alexa Chung Show scheduled to air June 15th or stalk her silly (not the creepy kind though) on Twitter here.

lights up

Orlando Bloom, Christopher Bailey, Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy. Such a lovely mix. May 28th was declared "Burberry Day" in New York where a 50 foot long Burberry sign was highlighted atop its new Madison Avenue headquarters.
