this is it

My favorite pieces from Costume Dept. Spring/Summer 2010. The gold sequin jacket? That tops the list. Reminds me of MJ in a way. Maybe because I'm about to watch the movie in a couple of hours. It's gonna be epic. Time to get bloated with popcorn!

the nightingale

Givenchy Nightingale. Subtle and sophisticated. So roomy, it's the perfect compliment to any outfit, any season. Available in red, navy blue, lilac and petrol.

When it pours, Swedish photog Hanneli Mustaparta is stylishly rainproof with a cute umbrella in Acne dress, colorful Nina Jarebrink shoes and studded Wang. Check out her blog, this girl is amazing.

let's talk about alexa

Alexa Chung for V Magazine, November (Issue #62). I heart that Stella McCartney lace jumpsuit. The sequined dress by Dolce & Gabbana is just as stunning as the lass herself. It doesn't hurt to have a Mulberry bag named after you either, no?

all that sass

Sass & Bide Spring/Summer 2010. The first collection to appear on the London catwalk for Sydney-based designers Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke, with a troupe of Aztec-inspired goddesses, embellished to the tribal nines. Stunning!

    the golden ticket

Katy Perry turned 25 in style with new boyfriend Russell Brand, throwing a sweet Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-themed birthday party at Sunset Beach recently. Oompa Loompas roamed, chocolates and candies were everywhere (on the walls, trees, you name it), and guests dressed in white but left the party in multi-colored paint. One wicked party!

    another bites the dust

Confession: October has been a crazy, emotional roller coaster ride for me. Hence, the inconsistency of posts (or lack thereof) and I must apologize. I've never felt more tired in my life. There were days I felt so weak I couldn't breathe. Maybe some time off on a remote island would do me good. If anyone knows how to gain invisible powers, please e-mail me, thanks.

    scooby shades and gold dinosaurs

Backstage at Giles, Paris Fashion Week. Gotta love those shades on Dree. Not to mention that cute dino bag.

    the quirky bird

Giles Deacon's latest collection in Paris was anything but ordinary. Spiders, ballerinas and dinosaurs paved the way with chic metallics, bright neons, pastels and retro eyewear. Some of which makes for fun, non-costume Halloween garb.

curves in all the right places

Best to stop obsessing on getting an hourglass figure and let your eyes do the talking. Rimmel's new Sexy Curves mascara comes with a unique, triple plump applicator that is designed to curve in, for volume and out, to separate and curl your lashes to its sexiest up to 70% curlier. The new generation 100% solvent-free waterproof formula lets you forget smudges, smears, rain and tears. Which leaves the other thing to worry about, what to wear. Here is my ultimate glamorous outfit to match that sexy batting: Alexander Wang silk one shoulder dress, Oscar de la Renta satin and suede boots, Lanvin crystal drop earrings and Judith Leiber's crystal embellished sphere clutch.

Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara is available in black and brown for only RM39.90 at Watson's and Parkson (Pavilion, 1 Utama, Sunway Pyramid, Klang Parade, Gurney Plaza, Terminal One Seremban, Square One Shopping Mall).

    studded skies

Oh! The things I'd do for these Givenchy spiky studded heels! Worn by Australian Harpers Bazaar fashion editor Christine Centenera at the Paris Fashion Week, click here if you're wondering what this mysterious woman behind those to-die-for shoes looks like. Kinda gorgeous, I'll say.
